Who We Are
Mental Health Therapist, LPC
* I have immediate openings.
Do you often feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or depression? Do you find it difficult to manage your relationships with your family members or significant other? Life can be challenging, but change is possible and attainable with support and guidance. Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and use coping skills to help build meaningful relationships and social connections.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who enjoys working with adolescents and adults and have over 23 years of experience working with clients in a diverse counseling setting and with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, anger issues, grief and loss, divorce, suicidal thoughts, relationship struggles, and self-esteem issues. I hold a school counseling certification in the states of Pennsylvania and New York and have worked in this area for 13 years. For the past 10 years, I have worked as a school-based outpatient therapist in an outpatient setting with children and adolescents. I have a strong psychology background and extensive experience utilizing different modalities for individual therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), talk therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I come from a person-centered, trauma-focused approach and am also EMDR trained. I use these various techniques to help individuals find what works best for them, and I believe that the best results come from meeting people where they are.
I believe in building a safe place for you to share and work on goals. My background in outpatient therapy lends itself to assisting clients in gaining perspective, learning coping skills, and recognizing and utilizing natural strengths and resources. I collaborate with clients to meet their goals, helping them feel greater control and efficacy in their lives. I can’t wait to meet you and support you on your journey to becoming your best self.
